At Aten Security, we’re building the next-generation platform for compliant and secure internal communication—powering oversight across Slack, Signal, Email, WhatsApp, and more. In a world where rogue messages lead to billion-dollar fines or classified leaks, we’re helping governments and Enterprises protect, monitor, and verify internal communication at scale.

We’re looking for a founding engineer to help us scale from private beta to enterprise-ready platform—and shape the foundation of our tech, team, and culture. We're currently in stealth, backed by leading Silicon Valley investors and advised by security leaders from Robinhood, Reddit, Databricks, Square, and Gemini.

What You’ll Do

• Architect the Core: Design and implement backend infrastructure that’s scalable, secure, and reliable—ready for the world's largest financial firms and federal agencies.
• Own the Stack: Lead the development of backend services, APIs (REST/gRPC), and real-time integrations powering communications compliance across diverse platforms.
• Deploy with Confidence: Use Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions) to ship high-quality code to GCP and Azure.
• Build with Purpose: Collaborate with founders and design partners to build features users actually need.
• Lead with Excellence: Define engineering standards, mentor early hires, and help recruit a world-class technical team.

You Might Be a Fit If You...

• Have 5+ years of backend experience, ideally with deep expertise in Golang
• Have built and scaled cloud-native systems in production (ideally GCP and/or Azure).
• Know your way around Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Have experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and modern CI/CD.
• Care deeply about security, compliance, and building systems the right way.
• Thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where ownership matters.
